Optimized Insulation

Program Description:

This course covers the purpose of insulation and current code, and environmental issues related to insulation. In addition, learners gain knowledge on roof insulations and have an opportunity to compare the performance of different insulation types. 

Learning Objectives:

- Discuss the common types of roofing insulation

- Outline current ASHRAE/Code issues affecting insulation design and R-Value

- Explain the layout and attachment methods of roof insulation

- Explain critical design considerations such as tapered insulation and roof condensation

Speaker Biography:

Rachael DeMeio is the Insulation Product Manager at Holcim Building Envelope.  Rachael comes from a consulting background with a strategic focus within the protective coatings industry.  Her diverse professional background includes more than 10 years of project management experience in new product development, formulation and analytical focus.  Rachael has both a bachelor's in biology and chemistry, as well as an MBA, with a concentration in product management.
